I grabbed the coat I used to wear,
as I walked towards the door.
I picked up my hat from the floor,
as I escape into the cold air.
I walked for miles,
letting the path be my only guide,
the stars my only companion,
and the rustling of the leaves the only noise.
Now in this asylum I sit,
lonely and full of sorrow.
Walking is not a crime.
What has technology done to us?
It is the center of our lives,
we are so heavily dependent on it
that we cannot possibly live without it.
The lights of my house make it a home,
other houses are just buildings with no love.
Technology is not the source of happiness,
but the beauty and peacefulness of nature is.
